What is MusEducate all about?
MusEducate responds to an urgent need to connect rural adults with their local museums, transforming these spaces into dynamic education hubs. The project addresses significant gaps identified through baseline surveys to 153 adults and 36 museum staff. Findings reveal that 73% of respondents see museums, such as Cassandra Hand Museum, as tourist attractions rather than community assets, leaving residents disconnected from their heritage. This lack of engagement weakens cultural identity and civic pride, a challenge MusEducate tackles by empowering adults through digital storytelling and heritage-focused learning.
