GreenComp School Solution

Responding to the ambitions set out in the European Green Deal, the GreenComp School seeks to build the capacity of current and future teachers and to integrate sustainability in various disciplines, with the overall goal to foster a sustainability mindset for primary school pupils.

What is GreenComp School all about?

Specifically, GreenComp School aspires to:

  • Validate and Identify GreenComp framework in school context
  • Create GreenComp School HE and VET micro-credential blended training programmes for building the capacity of teachers.
  • Develop interdisciplinary participatory methods and practices for primary school.
  • Develop Parent – Pupil participatory pedagogical non-formal project-based learning (PBL) activities and games.
  • Digitalisation and validation of GreenComp school learning approach
  • Develop and test a GreenComp fairs methodology, for providing hands on experience to parents, pupil and teachers.
  • Produce policy recommendations to support HE and VET training systems, in order to build teachers’ capacity towards fostering a sustainability mindset inside the primary school context.

A minimum of 60 current & 200 HE future teachers will receive GreenComp School trainings & micro-credentials. A minimum of 200 pupils will benefit from in-class learning activities and from non-formal PBL activities and games with their parents (min 200 parents). A minimum of 3000 schools in the participating countries & 600 stakeholders will be involved in the GreenComp fairs & conference.
