What is EQAVET4.0 all about?

'ΕQAVET 4.0'- for design and delivery of VET', within the framework of the CoVE initiative aims to strengthen and enhance the European dimension in vocational excellence, through the development and implementation of holistic and systematic methods, techniques and guidance for diagnostic, feedback, assessment, planning, implementation, and review in VET. The overall objective of 'EQUAVET 4.0' is to increase the alignment between sectoral needs and occupational qualifications and the outcome of corresponding VET programs. The project aims to develop the existing EQUAVET to create a quality framework LOOP consisting of sectoral analysis of jobs and occupational qualification mapping based on tasks, including innovations. Further the elaborated LOOP framework will guide stakeholders to use the occupational qualification mapping to align the VET programs with sectoral needs. Finally, the LOOP will include the methodology for evaluating the outcome of VET programs based on the initial occupational mapping to review all phases of the LOOP and improve the process.

OBJECTIVES

Objectives of the project are the following:

  1. Develop a collaboration model for stakeholders (VET providers, Employers, VET authorities, and other relevant organisations and individuals) to collaborate at the sectoral level to further align vocational education and Training (VET). The model will be based on representativeness, continuity in relations, mutual responsiveness, commitment, and accountability.
  2. Method for designing a SECTOR analysis and Map: it will provide a frame of refence for the occupational domain of a sector, positioning jobs in their professional context in relation to VET programmes and vice-versa.
  3. Occupational qualification profiles (Map) containing duties and responsibilities, with information regarding the work environment and the activities that employees will be exposed to daily, Experience need to do the job, Qualifications and skills necessary to perform the job: technical and professional knowledge, capabilities and their expected levels of professional contents, Education and credentials required.
  4. Method for evaluation of VET outcome: the method will outline how to assess the companies' satisfaction with VET completers' performance, how to assess the VET-providers expectations regarding VET results, how to assess students' satisfaction with their own performance in practice, how to process and present the date, and the recommendations.
